Fynbos has a reputation for its delicious country food and farm fresh ingredients.
We use local and seasonal ingredients including, wherever possible, our own vegetables and fruit. Johan is not only the winemaker; he is also a wonderful chef, and together with the team will ensure you don’t leave hungry. We offer a wide range of cooking styles, from Cape Malay to Mediterranean Country food.
Since we enjoy making and serving food that is special to your particular taste, we prefer to discuss your choice of menu and your selection of wines.
Please note that for catered events and residential guests, meals will only be provided to 10 or more guests.
Each season we offer pre-booked country lunches at De Perdestal with its rustic interior and Tuscan style outdoor patio. If you would like to join 'De Perdestal Sunday Lunch Club', let us know.
Our wines are made on Fynbos Estate from our own grapes in the old traditional way. This means they are organically farmed and made with minimal interference. They have done well competitively, and can be bought directly from the farm, or delivered to you. Currently we make four reds and two whites, a popular robust dry rosé, two desert wines and a Sparkling wine (Méthode Ancestralé).
