Magical Country Weddings
If you are looking to marry in the country somewhere simple, authentic and beautiful, Fynbos Estate is your place. We provide a flow of space for happy and relaxed celebrations while committed to quality in every aspect of the event.
With many lovely farm spaces to use, you can marry in the garden or old cellar, then have post-ceremony eats and drinks in the farmhouse gardens, before finally moving to the Pavilion, the Cellar or De Perdestal for your reception. And everywhere you look there are gardens, vineyards, olive groves and the beautiful backdrop of the mountain nature reserve.
We limit the number of weddings we host, and never host more than one wedding at a time, so each celebration is personal and carefully co-ordinated with attention to detail. In keeping with the spirit of the farm, the food and wine – catered according to your wishes - are delicious!
Best of all, Fynbos is a perfect location for an extended wedding. Guests can be together in a relaxed way for a longer period - eating delicious food, drinking outstanding wine, moving between various lovely spaces.

The Ceremony
The beautiful gardens offer many different tranquil and beautiful locations for outdoor ceremonies. Should you want to marry indoors, the Old Cellar offers an old-world atmosphere and can accommodate up to 80 seated.
Depending on the time of year and your numbers, you may also marry in the vineyards or, if you are after a taste of adventure and your numbers are very small, the top of the mountain offers spectacular views that stretch from Table Mountain all the way to the Drakenstein range.
The Reception
Choose between three magical venues, each with its own special character and ambience.
The Garden Pavilion has beautiful wooden floors, awnings for bad weather and stunning views. (80 guests, with a dance floor, up to 150 with nomadic tent extension).
The Old Cellar is a lovely old structure with thick walls, teak beams and high wooden ceilings and vineyard views (70 guests seated).
De Perdestal works wonderfully for smaller receptions and has a quirky appeal with a central fireplace and original feeding troughs. (50 guests).
Food & Wine
The food team have a fine reputation for delicious country food using local and seasonal ingredients. They believe that wonderful food and wine are central to the success of any event, and will take great care in creating a menu of all your favourites, whether local, Mediterranean or Eastern in style.
Johan’s wines under the Dragonridge label are natural wines made in the old traditional way. Always hugely appreciated these include Supernova, a 'méthode ancestralé' (bubbly) which lives up to its name and is a knockout.
Weekend Weddings
Weekend weddings bring time and leisure to your celebration and allow everyone to mix easily. There is comfortable accommodation for up to 42 guests (sharing) as well as camping space and additional accommodation in the area. And there is plenty to do, including wine tasting, walking, relaxing by the pool, playing lawn games, or just chilling on one of the many verandas. The farm is child-friendly: there are swings, secret gardens and farmyard animals to visit. Weekend packages are partly or fully inclusive to suit your needs.
