FYNBOS ESTATE COVID-19 PROTOCOL
The COVID-19 protocol that we have put in place on the farm and at all of our guest accommodation is for the safety and reassurance of staff and guests.
TBCSA (Tourism Industry Standard Protocols) are followed. At Fynbos Estate the COVID-19 protocol includes but is not limited to:
Arrival: You will be greeted by a staff member wearing a mask and a distance of 1,5 m will be observed. Guests are required to wear masks and observe social-distancing measures. If credit cards, money and keys are exchanged, the items will be sanitized with an alcohol-based sanitiser.
Screening and Contact Details: You will be required to complete a short form with the following information: names and contact details; information with respect to trip details (for tracking post-stay); and answers to general COVID-19 screening questions.
Educating staff (ongoing) on what the virus is; where the disease outbreak began; ways in which it is transmitted; symptoms to look out for; and daily measures to prevent contamination and spread of viruses in personal and guest spaces.
Staff hand sanitisers (alcohol-based) have been placed in service areas (such as office, laundry, staff rooms and bathrooms) and frequent use is compulsory.
Guest hand sanitisers (alcohol-based): 50ml hand sanitiser per guest is placed in each room and large sanitiser depensors in all common areas.
Bathrooms and common areas within guest accommodation are sanitised twice daily. We ask your co-operation in allowing access to staff for this purpose.
Laundry: Linen and towels are washed on the hottest wash cycle at 80°C. All linen is ironed on a hot setting.
Towels are tumble-dried until fully dry and hot enough to kill any viral matter. Towels are changed daily in all guest accommodation and common areas.
