Food & Wine

Fynbos has a reputation for its delicious country food and farm fresh ingredients.

We use local and seasonal ingredients including, wherever possible, our own vegetables and fruit. Johan is not only the winemaker; he is also a wonderful chef, and together with the team will ensure you don’t leave hungry. We offer a wide range of cooking styles, from Cape Malay to Mediterranean Country food.

Since we enjoy making and serving food that is special to your particular taste, we prefer to discuss your choice of menu and your selection of wines.

Please note that for catered events and residential guests, meals will only be provided to 10 or more guests.

Vegan Food and Wine

One of the specialities of the farm is vegan food and organic wine. Not only do we arrange vegan events but we are always excited to prepare vegan food for participants of any workshop or event. All our naturally made wines are vegan and certified organic.

Dragonridge Wine

Our organic wines are made on Fynbos Estate from our own grapes in the old traditional way. This means they are organically farmed and made with minimal interference. They have done well competitively, and can be bought directly from the farm, or delivered to you. This is free of charge to anywhere in South Africa for orders of 12 or more bottles. We are proud of our unusual and exceptional red and white wines, one desert wine and very popular sparkling wines. All our wines are vegan.

Wine tastings are by prior arrangement. We also offer wine-tasting lunches, as well as wine-blending and wine-making ay events and overnight getaways.
