17. Later Years (2014 – 2022)
The years from two thousand and fourteen to two thousand and twenty-two were full of wonderful events, exciting processes and more expansion. The time has flown.
Four New Spaces
In this period we built two new houses, Caracal a one bedroomed cottage and Black Eagle, a four bedroomed house. We also renovated an old workers cottage in the nature reserve to make Sonkop cottage which has beautiful views. Finally we re-constructed our old stable to made De Perdestal, a restaurant, venue for serving food at workshops and retreats, and an additional function venue.
Events and Processes on the Increase
During the eight years our wine production has risen to, on average, twelve thousand bottles a year, and we upped our numbers for lemon and oil products. Accommodation guests to the farm increased, as has the number of workshops parties and weddings. We did quite a lot of work in the Nature Reserve clearing aliens, cleaning water courses and managing erosion.
