Lil and Nick married here at Fynbos this weekend and it was such a delightful wedding. With just 48 people attending it had a really intimate feeling and the love and warmth of this family and their friends could be felt from the start of the event on Thursday till they left on Sunday. Lil really wanted a special harvest table and the table was groaning with delicious things. Guests kept complaining they had no room for mains.
But mains came along in the Pavilion. A spit with veggies and salad and it seems guests found some room since almost nothing came back to the kitchen.
Desert was their own cake and cupcakes.
For us it was an easy enjoyable wedding to host for lovely people. And their comments about us were great. Bride and groom kept saying it was wonderful and the food was wonderful and place was magical and the team was great. They also said felt they had entered a community which was especially nice for us and we shall tell the team at the Monday meeting. Other guests mirrored these comments – so we went away feeling well pleased.
Comments from the happy couple:
We were lucky enough to spend our wedding weekend at Fynbos. Diana, Johan and their team were phenomenal. A magical setting, surrounded by our nearest and dearest.
The setting, the cottages, a ceremony under old oak trees, delicious food made on the farm.
We loved how much effort has been put into creating a earth friendly, sustainable, ethical business and we can’t wait to return with our family and reconnect with this magical place.
Thank you 🙏
Ps loved the animals – such gorgeous, characterful, happy creatures great and small.
Love Lil and Nick Allison
