Mamelani workshop at Fynbos
The lovely members of Mamelani projects met with a facilitator Sue Soal in what was described as a ‘transitional support process’ in light of some big changes happening inside the organisation. The group worked very hard, but also swam, braaied, walked, played games, and left saying they wished they didn’t live in the city.
Such an Inspiring Organisation: For us, Diana and Johan, Mamelani Projects, gives us much needed hope to the future of human kind. Based in Observatory Cape Town, they do amazing work particularly in the area of community health and youth development.
In Community Health, Wellness Workshops provide safe spaces for people to improve their health and the health of their families and communities. Their Community Champions Programme supports grassroots leaders to grow and develop positive interventions. Their Community Adherence Clubs provide community-based care to HIV positive patients.
Their Youth Development Programme provides learning and support to young people who have grown up in Child and Youth Care Centres, helping them to reach their potential in their adult lives.
Mamelani has also been working hand in hand with World Childhood Foundation for the last 4 years. to prevent abuse and exploitation of children world-wide.

Feedback for Fynbos as a host for their workshop.
From.Dorette on behalf of the group,
“People absolutely loved being here. The space, the spaciousness, the house, the gardens and the walk up the mountain. We could go wild with compliments”
And our feedback: What a wonderful group to have here. We feel privileged that our farm can support them in any way we can. This ultimately why we do what we do.
